What the Pop-Up Gasket Does
The F119-010 pop-up gasket provides the sealing surface required for the pressure vessel pop-up system.
When the blast system is activated, the pop-up moves into its sealing position at the vessel filling opening. The urethane gasket helps create the seal necessary for the vessel to build and maintain operating pressure.
When the system is completely depressurized, the pop-up releases from the gasket so the vessel can be refilled with abrasive media.
Why the Pop-Up Gasket Matters
A pressure blast vessel depends on a good seal at the filling opening. Even a relatively small cut, worn area, or damaged section of the gasket can allow compressed air to escape instead of allowing the vessel to pressurize properly.
The urethane material provides a resilient sealing surface, but repeated cycling and exposure to abrasive media eventually cause wear.
Common Reasons for Replacement:
- Urethane has become worn or deteriorated
- Cuts or gouges in the sealing surface
- Gasket is cracked or damaged
- Permanent deformation from extended service
- Air leaking around the pop-up during operation
- Vessel is slow to build pressure
- Vessel will not maintain pressure
- Pop-up will not seal consistently
- Rebuilding or servicing the pressure vessel
If the Pop-Up Won't Seal
Don't automatically blame the pop-up valve itself if a pressure vessel leaks at the filling opening.
Inspect both mating components and the surrounding area for:
- Worn or damaged pop-up gasket
- Damaged pop-up valve
- Cuts or irregularities in the sealing surfaces
- Abrasive trapped between the pop-up and gasket
- Misalignment or restricted pop-up movement
- Corrosion or physical damage
- Other damaged components in the pop-up assembly
A new pop-up valve may still leak if it's trying to seal against a worn F119-010 gasket.

Finding Parts for Older Pressure Blasting Equipment
Universal / Uniblast, Trinco, and Blast-It-All pressure blasting equipment can remain in industrial service for many years, while individual vessel components can become increasingly difficult to identify.
That's why we include the original manufacturer part numbers, cross-reference numbers, material, function, and exploded diagram item number whenever possible.
For this component, the key identification information is:
Universal / Uniblast F119-010 / C640 – Urethane Pressure Vessel Pop-Up Gasket – Diagram Item #5
Cross-references Trinco 9-02026 / 9-2026 and Blast-It-All 16-707.
Important:
This listing is for one Universal Equipment Manufacturing / Uniblast Technologies F119-010 / C640 Urethane Pop-Up Gasket, identified as Item #5 in the exploded parts diagram.
The pop-up valve, pressure vessel, handway components, valves, piping, and other parts shown in the exploded diagram are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
Always verify the original part number and pressure vessel configuration before ordering.
Pressure Vessel Safety
Completely depressurize and isolate the blasting system before servicing the pop-up gasket, pop-up valve, or any other pressure-vessel component. Never loosen, remove, adjust, or service any portion of the pop-up assembly while the vessel is pressurized.
After installation, inspect the complete pop-up assembly and verify that the vessel seals, pressurizes, and depressurizes properly before returning the equipment to service.
