What the Door Gasket Does
The F111-005 gasket provides the compressible seal between the blast cabinet door and cabinet enclosure.
When the door closes, the gasket compresses to conform to the mating surfaces and helps close small gaps around the door opening. This helps keep abrasive media and dust contained within the cabinet during operation.
Over years of use, the original gasket can become flattened, hardened, torn, or damaged and may no longer provide an effective seal.
Common Signs the Door Gasket Needs Replacement:
- Dust escaping around the cabinet door
- Abrasive media leaking from the door opening
- Gasket remains permanently flattened
- Torn or missing sections
- Material has hardened or deteriorated with age
- Door no longer seals evenly
- Existing gasket is pulling away from the cabinet
- Cabinet is being restored or refurbished

50-Foot Roll
The 50-foot roll provides material for servicing the blast cabinet door and leaves additional gasket available for future maintenance or additional equipment.
Before removing the original gasket, note its routing and installation around the door. Remove deteriorated gasket material and residue so the new gasket can sit evenly against the mounting surface.
Inspect the Complete Door Seal
When replacing the F111-005 gasket, inspect the complete door opening for:
- Old gasket or adhesive residue
- Bent or damaged sealing surfaces
- Loose door hardware
- Uneven door alignment
- Areas where abrasive has accumulated around the seal
- Damage that could prevent even gasket compression
A new gasket can only seal properly when the door and mating surfaces are in good condition.
