Universal Uniblast F113-011 Blast Gun Mixing Chamber with Set Screw – A55 & B55

Keep your Universal / Uniblast suction blast gun operating properly with the F113-011 Mixing Chamber with Set Screw. This mixing chamber is used in Universal Equipment Manufacturing / Uniblast Technologies abrasive blast gun assemblies and is hardened to 58–62 HRC for extended service life.

The mixing chamber is a critical part of the suction blast gun, bringing the compressed-air and abrasive-media streams together before the mixture exits through the blast nozzle.

What the Mixing Chamber Does

The mixing chamber is at the heart of a suction-feed abrasive blast gun.

Compressed air passes through the air jet and creates the vacuum that draws abrasive media into the gun. The mixing chamber is where the incoming abrasive joins the high-velocity air stream before the mixture is directed through the blast nozzle.

Because abrasive media continually passes through this area, the mixing chamber is exposed to significant wear. Universal / Uniblast hardens the F113-011 to 58–62 HRC to help resist that erosion and provide extended service life.

Why Mixing Chamber Condition Matters

Wear inside the mixing chamber can affect the way air and abrasive media flow through the gun.

A worn chamber can contribute to:

  • Poor or inconsistent abrasive pickup
  • Reduced blasting performance
  • Irregular abrasive flow
  • Changes in the blast pattern
  • Excessive internal turbulence
  • Accelerated wear of related gun components

When troubleshooting a suction blast gun that has adequate air supply but doesn't feed abrasive consistently, the mixing chamber is one of the components worth inspecting.

Inspect Related Components

When replacing the F113-011 mixing chamber, it's a good opportunity to inspect the other wear components in the blast gun, particularly:

  • Air jet
  • Air-jet sleeve
  • Blast nozzle
  • Nozzle washer
  • Nozzle locknut
  • Abrasive inlet and media hose

A worn air jet or nozzle can affect performance even when the mixing chamber itself is in good condition.

Finding Parts for Older Universal / Uniblast Equipment

Universal Equipment Manufacturing and Uniblast Technologies blasting equipment has been in industrial service for many years, and individual components for older blast guns can sometimes be difficult to identify.

Older parts information may identify this mixing chamber by the F113-011 part number or A55/B55 designation, so we've included all of these references.

For this component, the key identification information is:

Universal / Uniblast F113-011 – A55 & B55 – Hardened Blast Gun Mixing Chamber with Set Screw

Important:

This listing is for the Universal Equipment Manufacturing / Uniblast Technologies F113-011 Blast Gun Mixing Chamber with Set Screw, hardened to 58–62 HRC, including #5.

Air jets, nozzles, nozzle locknuts, washers, and other blast-gun components are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.

Always verify the F113-011 part number and A55/B55 reference before ordering.

Completely shut off and relieve compressed-air pressure before removing or servicing any blast gun, nozzle, air jet, mixing chamber, hose, or related blasting component.
