What It Does:

The C-32 Spindle Packing provides a seal around the mixing valve spindle while still allowing the spindle to move during abrasive flow adjustment.

The packing works together with the C-31 Packing Gland to maintain proper compression and sealing around the spindle. Because the spindle moves during normal valve adjustment, the packing is a natural wear item and can gradually become compressed, hardened, or deteriorated.

Worn spindle packing can allow air or abrasive to leak around the spindle area and may affect smooth valve operation. Replacing the packing during valve service can help restore proper sealing and extend the service life of the existing mixing valve.

Common Signs the Spindle Packing May Need Replacement:

• Air leakage around the mixing valve spindle
