  • Pressure sandblasting equipment
  • Large mixing valve assemblies

  • Industrial surface preparation equipment

Features:

  • PK Lindsay C-31 large mixing valve packing gland
  • Identified as #10 in the exploded parts diagram
  • Fits Models 300LA & 600LA
  • Works with the packing and spindle components
  • Individual service part for the large mixing valve
  • Ideal for repairing or rebuilding an existing valve
  • Helps maintain proper packing compression and sealing
  • Helps keep older PK Lindsay blasting equipment in service

What It Does:

The C-31 Packing Gland works with the mixing valve packing to help maintain a seal around the spindle while still allowing the spindle to move during valve adjustment.

The gland helps retain and compress the packing in its proper position. Over years of operation, repeated adjustment, abrasive contamination, corrosion, or mechanical wear can damage the gland or affect its ability to properly support the packing.

A worn packing gland can contribute to leakage around the spindle or make proper adjustment of the packing difficult. Replacing a damaged gland during a mixing valve rebuild can help restore proper sealing and dependable valve operation.

Common Reasons for Replacement:

  • Packing gland is worn or damaged
  • Threads are damaged or corroded
  • Gland will no longer properly compress the packing
  • Leakage is occurring around the spindle area
  • Existing gland is seized or difficult to adjust
  • Component is missing during a valve rebuild
  • Performing a complete large mixing valve overhaul

Also Included in the 7-36A Rebuild Kit

The C-31 Packing Gland – Diagram Item #10 is also included in the PK Lindsay 7-36A Large Mixing Valve Rebuild Kit.

If the packing gland and several other internal components are showing wear, the complete 7-36A rebuild kit may be more economical than purchasing the individual components separately.
