Features:
- PK Lindsay 100-084 large mixing valve spindle
- Identified as #8 in the exploded parts diagram
- Fits Models 300LA & 600LA
- Key component of the abrasive metering mechanism
- Works with the spindle arm and related internal valve components
- Ideal for repairing or rebuilding an existing large mixing valve
- Helps restore smooth and consistent abrasive adjustment
- Helps keep older PK Lindsay blasting equipment in service
What It Does:
The 100-084 Spindle is part of the adjustment and abrasive metering mechanism inside the PK Lindsay large mixing valve. Movement of the spindle changes the position of the internal valve components, allowing the operator to regulate the amount of abrasive media entering the compressed air stream.
Because the spindle moves during normal valve adjustment and operates in an abrasive environment, its surfaces can gradually wear. Corrosion, abrasive contamination, or mechanical damage can also interfere with smooth spindle movement.
A worn or damaged spindle may make the mixing valve difficult to adjust or prevent it from maintaining a consistent abrasive setting.
Common Signs the Spindle May Need Replacement:
- Mixing valve is difficult to adjust
- Abrasive flow cannot be controlled consistently
- Spindle is visibly worn or scored
- Spindle is bent or damaged
- Excessive play in the adjustment mechanism
- Corrosion interferes with spindle movement
- Performing a complete large mixing valve rebuild
Also Included in the 7-36A Rebuild Kit
The 100-084 Spindle – Diagram Item #8 is also included in the PK Lindsay 7-36A Large Mixing Valve Rebuild Kit.
If the spindle and several other internal components are worn, the complete 7-36A rebuild kit may be more economical than purchasing the parts individually.
Finding Parts for Older PK Lindsay Equipment
PK Lindsay blast machines may no longer be manufactured, but many 300LA and 600LA machines remain in service. Individual mixing valve components can be difficult to identify and locate when you're working from an older exploded parts diagram.
That's why we include the original PK Lindsay part number and exploded diagram item number whenever possible—so you can identify exactly what you need before ordering.
