What It Does:
The small mixing valve regulates the amount of abrasive media entering the compressed air stream at the bottom of the blast pot. The 100-083 spindle is an internal component of this adjustment mechanism.
Years of abrasive blasting can cause wear to the spindle and other internal mixing valve components. Excessive wear may result in difficult adjustment, inconsistent abrasive flow, or poor control of the air-to-abrasive mixture.
Replacing a worn spindle can help restore smooth adjustment and proper operation without replacing the complete mixing valve assembly.
Common Signs the Mixing Valve May Need Service:
-
Abrasive flow is difficult to adjust
-
Adjustment is rough, loose, or inconsistent
-
Excessive or insufficient abrasive flow
-
Valve will not maintain the desired adjustment
-
Visible wear to the spindle or related components
-
Mixing valve has extensive service hours
