What It Does:
The small mixing valve regulates the amount of abrasive media introduced into the compressed air stream at the bottom of the blast pot. The 100-079 plate is an internal component of this valve assembly and works with the other mixing valve components to control abrasive flow.
Because the mixing valve operates directly in the abrasive stream, its internal components are subject to wear over time. A worn or damaged plate can contribute to poor abrasive control and inconsistent blasting performance.
Common Signs the Mixing Valve May Need Service:
-
Abrasive flow is difficult to adjust
-
Excessive or insufficient abrasive flow
-
Inconsistent abrasive delivery
-
Mixing valve will not maintain proper adjustment
-
Visible wear or damage to the valve plate
-
Internal mixing valve components show excessive wear
