Replaces Clemco 01351 Tungsten Carbide Sandblast Nozzle – 1/8" Bore, 3/4" NPSM

This tungsten carbide straight-bore sandblast nozzle replaces Clemco Part #01351 and is designed primarily for close-up abrasive blast cleaning of small parts, components, and concentrated areas.

The nozzle features a 1/8" straight bore, 3/4" NPSM fine-thread connection, compact 1-5/8" overall length, and a protective engineered plastic outer jacket. The tungsten carbide liner provides excellent wear resistance for professional abrasive blasting applications.

What a Straight-Bore Nozzle Does

A short straight-bore nozzle produces a narrow, concentrated blast stream, making it particularly useful when working close to the surface or when a broad blast pattern isn't needed.

This style is well suited for small parts, brackets, welds, machinery components, confined areas, and localized rust or coating removal.

For larger surfaces where production speed and a wider blast pattern are more important, a larger-bore or venturi-style nozzle may be a better choice.

Why Choose a 1/8" Bore?

The relatively small 1/8" bore provides a concentrated blast stream while requiring considerably less compressed air than larger 3/16", 1/4", or 5/16" nozzles.

That can make it a good choice for:

  • Small-part cleaning
  • Detail blasting
  • Localized surface preparation
  • Smaller blasting systems
  • Applications with limited compressor capacity

Keep in mind that the abrasive media must be appropriately sized for the nozzle opening. Oversized, contaminated, or poorly screened abrasive can plug a small 1/8" nozzle.

Why Tungsten Carbide?

Abrasive media traveling through a blast nozzle at high velocity continuously wears the internal bore.

Tungsten carbide offers excellent resistance to abrasive wear and typically provides a substantially longer service life than ceramic nozzles in regular blasting applications.

Actual nozzle life will vary depending on the abrasive type, media size, operating pressure, moisture, hours of use, and nozzle handling.

Why Nozzle Bore Size Matters

Nozzle bore diameter directly affects compressed-air consumption, abrasive flow, cleaning rate, and compressor requirements.

Smaller nozzles require less air but provide a smaller blast stream. Larger nozzles can increase production but require considerably more compressor capacity.

Nozzle wear matters too. As a 1/8" bore gradually enlarges, its air consumption increases. Eventually, a worn nozzle may require more air than the compressor can supply while maintaining the desired blasting pressure.

Checking Nozzle Wear

Periodically inspect and measure the nozzle bore. Consider replacing the nozzle when you notice:

  • Bore diameter has increased significantly
  • Uneven or irregular internal wear
  • Reduced blasting efficiency
  • Increased air consumption
  • Irregular blast pattern
  • Cracked or damaged outer jacket
  • Damaged threads or nozzle connection

The outside of a nozzle can still look perfectly serviceable even when the internal tungsten carbide bore has become excessively worn.

Applications:

Suitable for:

  • Abrasive blast cleaning
  • Pressure blasting equipment
  • Suction blasting equipment
  • Small-part blasting
  • Detail and close-up blasting
  • Localized surface preparation
  • Rust and scale removal
  • Paint and coating removal
  • Machinery and component cleaning
  • Commercial and industrial blasting equipment

Important:

This listing is for one aftermarket tungsten carbide sandblast nozzle that replaces Clemco Part #01351.

Specifications: 1/8" straight bore × 3/4" NPSM fine thread × 1-5/8" overall length × engineered plastic jacket.

This is an aftermarket component and is not manufactured by Clemco or the other manufacturers referenced above. Cross-reference numbers are provided to assist with part identification. Always verify the bore size, thread size, dimensions, and original part number before ordering.

Always completely depressurize the blasting system before removing, installing, or servicing a blast nozzle. Inspect the nozzle holder, washer, threads, blast hose, and safety restraints before returning the equipment to service.
