5/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle Tip – Long Tapered Cone – 3-3/4" Long
This 5/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle features a long tapered cone, straight bore, and 3-3/4" overall length for use with pressure abrasive blasting equipment.
The 5/16" bore is a high-production nozzle size intended for blasting systems with sufficient compressor capacity to supply the required airflow.
Nozzle Specifications:
- Material: Ceramic
- Bore Size: 5/16"
- Bore Type: Straight Bore
- Shape: Long Tapered Cone
- Overall Length: 3-3/4"
- Air Requirement: Approximately 125 CFM @ 80 PSI
- Application: Pressure Abrasive Blasting Equipment
ALC's published nozzle chart rates its 5/16" nozzle at 125 CFM at 80 PSI, so compressor capacity is especially important with this larger nozzle size.
Cross Reference Part Numbers:
- C1-5
- CN3-5
- 502382 / 502-382
- ALC 40072
- ALC Kit 40297
- Fits Northern Tool 155519
ALC Cross Reference
This nozzle cross-references to ALC 40072, the 5/16" ceramic pressure nozzle. The ALC 40297 nozzle kit uses this 5/16" nozzle size.
Fits / Applications:
- PK Lindsay pressure sandblasters
- Empire abrasive blasting equipment
- ALC pressure blasters
- Northern Tool pressure blasting equipment
- Commercial pressure blast pots
- Industrial abrasive blasting systems
- Surface preparation equipment
Features:
- 5/16" straight bore
- 3-3/4" overall length
- Long tapered cone design
- Durable ceramic construction
- Designed for pressure-feed abrasive blasting
- High-production nozzle size
- Cross-references several common sandblaster nozzle numbers
- Economical wear component for maintaining older blasting equipment
High-Production 5/16" Nozzle
A 5/16" nozzle requires considerably more compressed air than the smaller ceramic nozzles in this family. ALC specifies approximately 125 CFM at 80 PSI, compared with 80 CFM for a 1/4" nozzle and 40 CFM for a 3/16" nozzle.
ALC also estimates approximately 800 lbs. of abrasive consumption per hour with the 5/16" nozzle under its specified test conditions. Actual consumption will vary depending on the abrasive, operating pressure, media valve adjustment, and application.
For best performance, make sure the compressor can maintain the required airflow and pressure before selecting this nozzle size.
Ceramic Nozzles Are Wear Items
Abrasive media gradually wears and enlarges the nozzle bore during normal operation. As the bore becomes larger, air and abrasive consumption increase, potentially reducing blasting pressure if the compressor cannot supply the additional airflow.
Inspect the nozzle regularly and replace it when you notice:
- Enlarged or uneven bore
- Reduced blasting performance
- Difficulty maintaining operating pressure
- Excessive air or abrasive consumption
- Cracks or chips in the ceramic
- Irregular blast pattern
Verify Your Nozzle Size
This nozzle is specifically:
5/16" Bore x 3-3/4" Long – Ceramic – Long Tapered Cone – Straight Bore
Always verify the bore size, overall length, nozzle shape, and cross-reference number before ordering.
Important:
This listing is for one 5/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle – Long Tapered Cone, Straight Bore, 3-3/4" Length.
Nozzle washers, holders, couplings, blast hose, and other components are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
Always completely depressurize the blast machine before servicing or replacing the nozzle, blast hose, couplings, or other components of the blasting system. Inspect the nozzle holder and washer for wear before returning the equipment to service.
