3/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle – Long Tapered Cone – Straight Bore – 3-3/4" Long

This 3/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle features a long tapered cone, straight bore, and 3-3/4" overall length. It is a common pressure-blaster nozzle size with cross references covering PK Lindsay, Empire, Pirate Brand, ALC, Schmidt/Axxiom, A-BEC, Econoline and other abrasive blasting equipment.

Nozzle Specifications:

  • Material: Ceramic
  • Bore Size: 3/16"
  • Bore Type: Straight Bore
  • Shape: Long Tapered Cone
  • Overall Length: 3-3/4"
  • Air Requirement: Approximately 40 CFM @ 80 PSI
  • Application: Pressure Abrasive Blasting Equipment

ALC rates its 3/16" pressure nozzle at approximately 40 CFM at 80 PSI, so compressor capacity should be considered when selecting this size.

Cross Reference Part Numbers:

  • C1-3
  • CN3-3
  • 502362 / 502-362
  • PK Lindsay 100-104

  • Schmidt / U.S. Filter / Axxiom 5002-006
  • ALC 40070
  • ALC Kit 40295
  • Northern Tool / ALC 155518

The additional OEM cross references above match published interchange information for this 3/16" nozzle.

Fits / Applications:

  • PK Lindsay pressure sandblasters
  • Empire abrasive blasting equipment
  • Pirate Brand pressure blast equipment
  • ALC pressure blasters
  • Northern Tool / ALC blasting equipment
  • Schmidt / Axxiom blast equipment
  • Commercial pressure blast pots
  • Industrial abrasive blasting systems

ALC / Northern Tool Application:

This 3/16" ceramic nozzle corresponds to ALC 40070 and is the nozzle size used with the ALC 40295 Pressure Nozzle Kit.

Northern Tool lists the 40295 kit as Item #155518 for use with its Item #155519 Deadman Valve. The kit contains two 3/16" ceramic nozzles and a washer.

Features:

  • Durable ceramic construction
  • 3/16" straight bore
  • Long tapered cone design
  • 3-3/4" overall length
  • Approximately 40 CFM @ 80 PSI
  • Suitable for pressure-feed abrasive blasting
  • Cross-references numerous older OEM sandblaster nozzle numbers
  • Economical wear part for maintaining older blasting equipment

Why Nozzle Bore Size Matters:

Nozzle bore size has a major effect on compressor demand, abrasive consumption, and blasting performance.

At approximately 40 CFM @ 80 PSI, a 3/16" nozzle requires substantially more compressor capacity than the smaller 3/32", 1/8", and 5/32" sizes. ALC's nozzle chart estimates abrasive consumption around 400 lbs. per hour for a 3/16" nozzle under its stated operating conditions.

Always make sure the compressor can maintain the required airflow and pressure before moving to a larger nozzle.

Ceramic Nozzles Are Wear Items

Abrasive media gradually wears and enlarges the nozzle bore during normal operation. As the bore increases in diameter, air consumption also increases, which can reduce blasting pressure if the compressor cannot supply the additional CFM.

Inspect ceramic nozzles regularly and replace them when the bore becomes excessively enlarged, uneven, chipped, cracked, or otherwise damaged.

Important:

This listing is for one 3/16" Ceramic Sandblast Nozzle – Long Tapered Cone, Straight Bore, 3-3/4" Length.

Nozzle washers, holders, couplings, blast hose, and other components are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.

Always verify the nozzle bore size, dimensions, and cross-reference number for your equipment before ordering.
