1.5" Hg 3 GPH Vacuum Switch for Hot Water Pressure Washers

Control your hot water pressure washer burner with this 1.5" Hg Vacuum Switch, designed to sense water flow by monitoring vacuum on the inlet side of the pressure washer pump. When sufficient water flow is present, the switch activates the burner circuit, helping ensure the burner operates only when water is moving through the system.

Vacuum switches are commonly used as an alternative to pressure or flow switches in hot water pressure washer burner control systems.

Specifications:

  • Type: Vacuum Switch

  • Activation: 1.5" Hg Vacuum

  • Flow Rating: 3 GPH

  • Application: Hot Water Pressure Washer Burner Control

Applications:

  • Hot water pressure washers

  • Oil-fired burner systems

  • Commercial cleaning equipment

  • Industrial pressure washing systems

Features:

  • Senses vacuum on the inlet side of the pressure washer pump

  • Controls burner operation based on water flow

  • Helps prevent the burner from firing without adequate water flow

  • Compact design for easy installation

  • Ideal for replacement or custom hot water pressure washer builds

What it does:

As water flows through the pressure washer pump, vacuum is created on the pump inlet. Once the vacuum reaches the switch's activation point, the electrical contacts operate and allow the burner control circuit to function.

When water flow stops and the vacuum drops, the switch changes state and shuts down the burner circuit.

Why it matters:

A properly operating vacuum switch helps prevent:

  • Burner operation without adequate water flow

  • Overheating of the heating coil

  • Intermittent burner operation

  • Excessive water temperatures

  • Damage to burner and heating system components

This small switch plays an important role in safely controlling the burner on many hot water pressure washer systems.
